SAN DIEGO - San Diego State will get its Tony Gwynn Classic schedule underway this evening when it squares off against Tennessee at 6:00 p.m. PT at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The Volunteers (3-1) enter the day with a record of 3-1 and will face Seton Hall in the first game of the day at 1:00 p.m. at SDSU.
The Aztecs' record stands at 3-2 and they are coming off a 5-4 victory at No. 7/11 Cal State Fullerton Wednesday night-
Tennessee will start junior left-hander Zach Warren (0-1, 4.50) on the mound where he will be opposed by Aztec senior lefty Brett Seeburger (1-0, 1.59).
San Diego State is being led offensively by DH Andrew Martinez (.438, 2 doubles, HR, 4 RBI) and catcher Dean Nevarez (.455 (double, 2 RBI).
Action continues at Tony Gwynn Stadium on Saturday with the first game of the day pitting Oregon against Seton Hall at 10:00 a.m.
SDU will then play twice, first against Seton Hall at 2:00 p.m. and then Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m.
