SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team continues its home stand this week as it hosts Eastern Michigan on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The afternoon dual is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The Aztecs welcome the Eagles for just the second match in series history. The Aztecs last hosted the Eagles on March 2, 2010, where they downed EMU, 6-1, at the Aztec Tennis Center.

The Eagles, who own a 3-6 season record, travel west to San Diego coming off back-to-back wins at Creighton, 4-3, and vs. Northwestern Ohio, 6-1. EMU is also set to face UCSD Tuesday and completes its Southern California swing at Cal State Fullerton on Friday.

The Aztecs, also at 3-6 on the season, look for a victory after falling to Long Beach State last Thursday, marking the team's fourth-straight loss. Despite solid play by Paola Diaz and Berta Acero in singles, and a shutout in doubles by partners Kennedy Davis and Mia Smith, SDSU was unable to secure enough match points and fell to the 49ers, 5-2.

Wednesday's match against the Eagles marks the second of three straight home contests for the Aztecs, who will also face No. 17 Arizona State this Saturday at noon.
