SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team heads to Los Angeles Wednesday, Feb. 1, to take on the 18th-ranked USC Trojans. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Marks Tennis Stadium.

The No. 18 Trojans, 2-1, are coming off ITA Kick Off Weekend in Auburn, Ala., where they logged a 4-2 win against Rice on Saturday, Jan. 28, and their first loss of the season Sunday, Jan. 29 against No. 15 Auburn, 4-1. USC currently boasts three players in the ITA rankings: No. 46 Jessica Failla, No. 52 Madison Westby and No. 56 Zoe Katz.

The Aztecs also sit at 2-1 after a brutal loss at home on Saturday to Cal State Fullerton, 4-0, and a close win at UC Irvine on Sunday, 4-3, where SDSU rallied in singles to come back after losing the doubles point to the Anteaters.

The two Southern California schools last met in March 2015, where the then 4th-ranked Trojans dominated the No. 65 Aztecs, 7-0, at the Marks Tennis Stadium.

Up next, San Diego State return home for a doubleheader, facing Cal Poly Saturday, Feb. 4, and No. 8 California on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the Aztec Tennis Center.
