SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's basketball head coach Steve Fisher is participating in the 2017 Infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge, which begins Jan. 2. The Challenge features 48 Division I head coaches who are competing to raise money for a charity of their choice.

Fisher, who is the only head coach in the Mountain West among the 48, has selected the ALS Association, Greater San Diego Chapter as his charity. Infiniti will donate $1,000 to each of the 48 charities with the charity of the winning coach receiving $100,000. Charities of coaches advancing to the second round (24 coaches) will receive $7,500. For those who reach the third round (16 coaches), their charities will receive $10,000, and the final four coaches' charities will receive $15,000.

There are four rounds of voting and to help Fisher reach the Round of 24, fans are to head to www.ESPN.com/Infiniti to cast their vote. In order to vote, fans must set up an ESPN account at ESPN.com. Only one vote per day is allowed and the first round of voting runs from Jan. 2-22. Round 2 is set for Jan. 23-Feb. 12, Round 3 for Feb. 13-26, and Final Four voting is from Feb. 27-March 12.
