LUBBOCK, Texas – San Diego State and Texas Tech will conclude their three-game series with a contest slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. (CT) today at Dan Law Field in Lubbock, Texas.

The No. 10 Red Raiders improved to 28-9 after Saturday's 10-0 victory over the Aztecs in the second game of the series. It was Texas Tech's eighth straight win.

The home team is expected to start freshman right-hander Ty Harpenau (1-0, 5.88) on the mound today where he will be opposed by SDSU junior right-hander Cody Thompson (1-5, 5.86).

The Red Raiders' win on Saturday coupled with their 3-1 win in the opener on Friday means Texas Tech has claimed the series victory.

The two losses by the Aztecs followed a three-game SDSU win streak and the team's record entering today stands at 10-22.

After adding three hits in Saturday's contests against the Red Raiders, Aztec shortstop Alan Trejo improved his team-leading batting average to .356. He is also tied for the team lead in RBI with 20 and stands second in runs scored with 21.

Tyler Adkison had a pair of hits on Saturday and is now hitting .279 after having improved his batting average some 53 points over SDSU's past 12 outings.

The Aztecs enter today's contest with a team batting average of .273 along with a 5.14 earned run average. The Red Raiders are hitting .305 as a team with a 3.81 ERA.

Following today's game, San Diego State will return home where it will host UC Irvine on Tuesday, April 19, at 6:00 p.m. (PT) at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
