SAN DIEGO - San Diego State athletics and the Aztec Club will host "A Night with the Aztecs," on Thurs., April 21, at the Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa in Rancho Santa Fe., Calif., beginning at 6 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with men's basketball head coach Steve Fisher, football head coach Rocky Long, and other current SDSU head coaches and student-athletes.
In addition, San Diego State legends Marshall Faulk, Ryan Lindley and Ephraim Salaam, among others, will attend the event, which will also feature live music, sip and savor stations and a live auction with packages including travel, dining, sports and entertainment events. This year's auction items include tickets to the 2016 MLB All-Star Game at Petco Park, a trip to the 2016 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, a one-week stay for up to six guests at Calistoga Ranch in Napa, Calif., a signed basketball from the 2015-16 Los Angeles Lakers and tickets to a San Diego Padres game with Long and an Aztec Football guest in Petco Park's Lexus Home Plate Club.
"A Night with the Aztecs" is the largest fundraising event of the year for San Diego State athletics. All proceeds will benefit the athletic scholarship fund that supports over 550 student-athletes competing in the school's 19 varsity sports.
