SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's basketball has announced special events for its matchup this Saturday vs. Arizona State, including photo opportunities with the Aztec football team's 2016 Mountain West Championship trophy and a special halftime presentation featuring the football team and representatives from the Las Vegas Bowl. San Diego State football will battle the Houston Cougars in Las Vegas next Saturday, Dec. 17.
Fans will have the chance to get photos with the MW Championship trophy as well as a Las Vegas showgirl and celebrity Elvis impersonator on the concourse level at Viejas Arena beginning when gates open at 2:30 p.m., up until tip at 4 p.m.
In addition, representatives from the Las Vegas Bowl will be part of a special halftime presentation featuring Aztec football seniors and head football coach Rocky Long.
During the game, fans will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the Las Vegas Bowl at the Viejas Arena box office. The Viejas Arena box office will only have bowl tickets on sale Saturday from 2:30 p.m. through halftime. For those not attending the basketball game, tickets for the Las Vegas Bowl can still be purchased online at GoAztecs.com, over the phone at (619) 283-SDSU or in person at the Aztec Athletic Ticket Office (Qualcomm Stadium, Window E).
