The San Diego State football team wrapped up its Las Vegas Bowl activities Friday with a press conference and kickoff luncheon.

The San Diego State football team wrapped up its Las Vegas Bowl activities Friday with a press conference and kickoff luncheon.

After meeting with ABC talent Brent Musburger, Jesse Palmer and Kaylee Hartung, Aztec head coach Rocky Long, senior linebacker Calvin Munson (St. Charles, Mo.) and junior running back Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) spoke at a press conference along with members of the Houston team.

Next up was the Kickoff Luncheon presented by Dignity Health, where the team and official travel party joined the Las Vegas Bowl committee, staff, sponsors, community leaders and fans for a banquet. Coach Long and senior offensive guard Nico Siragusa (Chula Vista, Calif.) spoke with ABC's Kaylee Hartung on the stage, while junior Tyler Morris (Henderson, Nev.) spoke about his experiences at the Opportunity Village. Additionally, junior Antonio Rosales (Tucson, Ariz.) won the bowl's Ray Woofter Community Service and Leadership Award. Marshawn Lynch, Brent Musburger and Ron Dondero were also inductees into the Las Vegas Bowl Hall of Fame.

Later in the evening, fans and alumni attended the Fremont Street Experience Pep Rally. Cheerleaders, bans and mascots all interacted with fans under the historical lights at the Fremont Street Experience. Assistant for football operations Doug Deakin and freshman Juwan Washington (Kennedale, Texas) also spoke to the fans.

SDSU (10-3) and Houston (9-3) kick off the Las Vegas Bowl at 12:30 p.m. PT Saturday.
