Aztec Football Travels to Nevada for Saturday Showdown
* Winners of five consecutive games and 18 of its last 19 contests, San Diego State travels to Reno, Nev., to face the Nevada Wolf Pack at 7:30 p.m. PT Saturday. This is the first of back-to-back road games for SDSU, which faces Mountain Division foe Wyoming on Nov. 19.

* The Aztecs clinched a share of the Mountain West West Division for the third straight season and will represent the West Division in the league title game (Dec. 3) for the second consecutive year.
* SDSU is one of 11 teams nationally with one loss or less (five undefeated teams, six one-loss teams). San Diego State is one of only 12 undefeated teams in league play.
* The Aztecs carry a number of lengthy win streaks into Saturday's game, including: 16 straight victories against conference opponents (longest active streak in the country), 13 straight victories in games played in the Pacific Time Zone and five straight wins overall (tied for 12th-longest active streak in the nation).
* During the 16-game win streak vs. MW teams (including the 2015 MW Championship game), SDSU has outscored its opponents, 564-161.
* Since Oct. 3, 2015, San Diego State owns the nation's third-best record at 18-1 (.947), trailing only Alabama (20-0, 1.000) and Clemson (20-1, .952), and ahead of Michigan (16-2, .889) and Ohio State (16-2, .889).
* The Aztecs are once again among the nation's elite in every major defensive category. Since the beginning of the 2015 season, SDSU is second in turnovers forced (52), third in total defense (281.8), fourth in rushing defense (99.8) and rushing yards allowed per attempt (3.0), fifth in scoring defense (15.9), and sixth in passing efficiency rating defense (105.8) and third-down conversion percentage defense (30.4).
* Heisman Trophy candidate Donnel Pumphrey continues to lead the nation (FBS) this season in rushing yards (1,581). He is second in all-purpose yards (1,732) and rushing yards per game (175.7), third in all-purpose yards per game (192.44), tied for sixth in rushing touchdowns (13) and tied for 13th in total touchdowns (13). He has 135 more rushing yards than the player ranked second in FBS rushing.
* Pumphrey, a senior from Las Vegas, is the active FBS career leader in rushing yards (5,853), all-purpose yards (6,877), rushing touchdowns (58), total touchdowns scored (63) and 100-yard rushing games (30).
* Pumphrey has recorded eight straight 100-yard rushing games overall. During that span, he has carried 223 times for 1,483 yards, a 6.65-yard average and 12 rushing touchdowns. In three career games against Nevada, he has 351 rushing yards, a 7.47 average and three TDs.
* Pumphrey continues to climb the official NCAA career rushing chart. His 5,853 yards rushing currently places him fifth on that chart. He needs 544 yards to surpass Ron Dayne's (Wisconsin) career total of 6,397. If SDSU plays five more games (counts the conference championship and assumes a bowl game), Pumphrey would have to average 109.0 yards to break the record.
