San Diego State will travel to Laramie, Wyo., Saturday to take on Wyoming in the 2016 Mountain West Football Championship game, the league announced Sunday. The game will kick off at 5:45 p.m. MT (4:45 p.m. PT) and will be broadcast on ESPN.
The Cowboys (8-4, 6-2 MW) earned the right to host by virtue of its higher composite computer average than the Aztecs (9-3, 6-2 MW) in the rankings as of Sunday.
SDSU is the defending league champion after beating Air Force, 27-24, in the 2015 MW title game.
San Diego State lost to UW, 34-33, in a thriller two weeks ago (Nov. 19) in Laramie.
Tickets for the MW Football Championship will be available in the SDSU Aztec section online through GoAztecs.com, starting today (Sunday) at noon PT.
