RENO, Nev. – The San Diego State volleyball team will conclude its 2016 season this evening with a match against Mountain West foe Nevada at 6:00 p.m. (PT) in the Wolf Pack's Virginia Street Gym.
Nevada enters the contest with a record of 19-10 overall and 10-7 in the Mountain West. The Wolf Pack is led by Madison Morell (4.07 kps, 2.36 dps) and Madison Foley (2.86 kps, 2.32 dps).
San Diego State's record, meanwhile, stands at 16-15 (8-9 MW) as it looks to end the season with a league mark of .500 or better for the seventh consecutive season. Regardless of the outcome of tonight's contest, the Aztec will finish their 2016 campaign in sixth place in the final league standings.
As she has all season long, outside hitter Alexandra Psoma continues to pace the SDSU offense as her averages of 3.38 kills per set and 3.64 points per set both rank eighth in the Mountain West this week.
Other Aztecs among the conference leaders include Deja Harris in hitting percentage (.336 - 7th) and blocks (1.06 bps - 8th), Indigo Thompson in assists (9.10 per set - 7th), Danielle Bolden in service aces (0.34 per set - 6th) and Devyn Pritchard in digs (3.27 per set - 7th).
The Aztecs will lose four seniors from its 2016 team including Emma Fuzie (1.43 kills, 078 blocks per set), defensive specialist Alexa Saba (1.3 digs per set), setter Hailey Jones (5.41 assists per set, 2.12 digs per set) and defensive specialist Danielle Bolden (0.34 aces per set, 2.41 digs per set).
