SAN DIEGO - San Diego State women's soccer players Victoria Barba, Stacie Moran and Aliyah Utush earned all-Mountain West recognition from the league on Monday for their effort during the 2016 conference season.

Barba was selected to the all-league first team after leading the Aztecs with four goals (t-8th in MW) and 10 points (t-9th in MW), and ranking second with two assists. A threat on offense and a key cog in SDSU's defensive efforts from her midfield spot, Barba nearly put half of her shots on net (13-of-29), while helping the Aztecs limit nine of their 11 conference foes to one goal or less. This is the third time the Albuquerque, New Mexico native has earned all-conference accolades and the second time the senior has been voted to the first team (2013).

Moran earned a spot on the all-Mountain West second team after anchoring a defensive unit that produced four shutouts and held nine of its 11 MW foes to one goal or less. Hailing from Alta Loma, Moran was a calming presence along the backline and routinely squashed opponents' scoring chances. The junior also attempted seven shots with one coming on net. Moran has earned all-league recognition in all three of her seasons on campus (2014 second team, 2015 first team).

Utush is an all-Mountain West second-team selection after tying Barba for the team lead with 10 points (t-9th in MW) and contributing an Aztec-high four assists (t-4th in MW). Utush also ranked second to Barba with three goals. The junior from Rocklin was an offensive threat, attempting a team-high 37 shots (3rd in MW) with 17 on target (.459 SOG%). This is the second consecutive season in which she has garnered all-league accolades after earning honorable mention in 2015.

The Aztecs are in action on Tuesday night when they play host to Boise State at SDSU Sports Deck in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Championship. Third-seeded SDSU and sixth-seeded BSU will take the pitch at 7 p.m. PT in a game that will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and GoAztecs.com. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for youth and students with a current ID.
