SAN DIEGO -

2016 Mountain West Women's Soccer Championship Bracket

San Diego State for the third straight season will play host to the Mountain West Women's Soccer Championship at SDSU Sports Deck. The tournament will begin on Tuesday, continue on Thursday and conclude on Saturday.

Tickets for the annual event are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and students with a current ID. The box office opens one hour prior to the first game of the day. For those interested in group ticket rates, contact the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-7378 or visit Window E at Qualcomm Stadium. Group rates are not available at the venue on game day.

Quarterfinal action is set for Tuesday with games at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. PT. The same game times apply for Thursday's semifinal contests. The championship clash on Saturday will begin at 7 p.m. PT. All games will stream live on the Mountain West Network.

UNLV and San José State enter the tournament as the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, and earned a bye into the semifinals. The Aztecs are the third-seeded team with Utah State (No. 4), Wyoming (No. 5) and Boise State (No. 6) rounding out the field.

On Tuesday, the Aggies and Cowgirls will open the Championship at 4 p.m., with the Aztecs and Broncos playing under the lights at 7 p.m. The USU-WYO winner will face UNLV on Thursday at 4 p.m., while the BSU-SDSU winner will face SJSU at 7 p.m. The league's automatic NCAA tournament berth will be on the line with Saturday's 7 p.m. title game.

San Diego State won its regular-season meeting with Boise State, 2-0, back on Oct. 14, at SDSU Sports Deck. Dani DeRosa scored off an Aliyah Utush feed in the 35th minute and Utush added an insurance goal in the 81st minute off a pass from Darcy Weiser. As a team, the Aztecs attempted 16 shots (6 SOG) and held the Broncos to just eight (2 SOG).

SDSU enters the MW Championship having won three of the last four titles and in each of the last four years, the Aztecs advanced to the title game. Last year, San Diego State had its bid for a fourth straight title dashed as SJSU and SDSU played to a double-overtime draw. The Spartans, however, advanced to the NCAA tournament on penalty kicks.
