STANFORD, Calif. -- San Diego State women's golf junior Georgia Lacey (Del Mar, Calif.) remains tied for second place on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 2-over-par 73 on Saturday during the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Condoleezza Rice at Stanford Golf Course.

Lacey entered the day with a two-shot lead on the strength of a career-best 67 in the opening round, but dropped into the second position after 36 holes at 2-under 140, along with Andrea Lee of host Stanford.

Despite sinking just one birdie at the turn on the par-4 18th, Lacey managed to ease the sting of three bogeys and one double with 12 pars and an eagle on the par-5, 495-yard No. 1 green. With her score, the Torrey Pines High alumna finds herself five shots in back of front-runner Bronte Law of UCLA (-7) heading into Sunday's final round on the par-71, 6,130-yard layout.

As a team, SDSU climbed two spots into a tie for 12th with Pepperdine at 35-over 603 after posting a combined 300 on Saturday. The Aztecs trimmed three shots off their first-round total, but still trail Iowa State (+29) by six strokes for 10th place.

None of the schools in the 18-team field finished in red figures for the second round; however, UCLA (+4) shot a 1-over 285 to take over the top spot in the standings, while Stanford (+15) remains a distant second, followed by California (+21), Florida (+22) and USC (+22).

Sirene Blair (South Jordan, Utah) made the biggest gain individually for the Aztecs, climbing 15 places into a tie for 62nd at 12-over 154 after carding a 74 in round two. The SDSU senior shaved six shots off Friday's total, notching a team-high 14 pars to go with a birdie on the par-3, 163-yard No. 14, which ranked as the sixth-toughest hole of the second round.

The remainder of the Aztec starting lineup finished within one stroke of each other, including fellow classmate Natalie Vivaldi (Oceanside, Calif.), who ended the day in a tie for 66th at 13-over 155. The Rancho Buena Vista High product recorded 12 pars of her own to go with a birdie on the par-3 No. 8. However, Vivaldi was forced to settle for a 77 after experiencing a rash of four bogeys and a triple.

Elsewhere, Haleigh Krause (Eugene, Ore.) finds herself in the 73rd spot with a 14-over 156 on the heels of a second-round 78. The Aztec junior drained two birdies on the day, but was unable to overcome seven bogeys a double, which hastened a drop of 11 places on the leaderboard.

Conversely, fellow junior Mila Chaves (Asuncion, Paraguay) jumped four places into a tie for 76th spot at 15-over 157 after carding a 76 on Saturday. The native Paraguayan finished strong with three pars and a birdie on her final four holes, but three bogeys and a pair of doubles prevented a steeper ascent.

The Stanford Intercollegiate wraps up on Sunday when SDSU tees off alongside San José State and Colorado for final-round competition, beginning at 8:15 a.m. PT on hole No. 10.
