THIS WEEK IN AZTEC SWIMMING
The San Diego State swimmers and divers will be at home this week for a double dual meet against UC San Diego and Vanderbilt. Action will get underway at 2:00 p.m. (PT) at the Aztec Aquaplex.

HEAD COACH MIKE SHRADER
San Diego State Head Coach Mike Shrader is in his 10th season with the Aztecs and has compiled a dual meet record of 118-15 (.887) during his tenure. Shrader has been named the Mountain West Coach of the Year on five occasions (2014, 2013, 2011, 2010, co-coach in 2009). Including eight seasons as head coach at Nevada, his career record is 207-27-1 (.883).

AT THE CHICK-FIL-A INVITATIONAL
San Diego State placed second at last weekend's Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Fresno State. The meet featured five Mountain West teams along with Cal State Bakersfield. Boise State captured the team title, finishing with 1002 points with the Aztecs second at 882.5. The remaining teams included Nevada (664), Fresno State (517.5), San Jose State (465) and Cal State Bakersfield (281). Three Aztec swimmers picked up first-place finishes in four events. Frida Berggren won both the 200 butterfly (2:03.40) and 200 individual medley (2:05.74). Freshman McKenna Meyer captured the 400 individual medley (4:22.03) while fellow frosh Morganne McKennan won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.75)

VICTORY AT PEPPERDINE
San Diego State recorded a 155-53 victory at Pepperdine last Thursday (Oct. 6) in its first regular dual meet action of the season. The Aztecs captured nine of 10 swimming events as well as the one diving event (1-meter springboard). Double winners in the individual races included Alexa Clayfield in the 50 back (27.29) and 100 back (58.10) along with Peyton Wilson in both the 50 free (23.76) and 100 free (51.94).

RANKING
After last week's win over Pepperdine and performance at the Chick-fil-A Invitational, San Diego State is ranked 24th in this week's national rankings by CollegeSwimming.com. Other Mountain West teams in this week's poll include Boise State (17th) and Nevada (30th). Friday's opponent, Vanderbilt, is ranked 37th.

THREE ENTER SDSU TOP TIMES LIST
Two SDSU newcomers and one veteran diver have already turned in marks this season that ranks among the all-time top 10 in Aztec program history. Those new top 10 marks include the following:
