SAN DIEGO – The San Diego State volleyball team will open a two-match home stand with a contest against Fresno State this evening at 6:00 p.m. (PT) on Aztec Court.

The Bulldogs enter the week with an overall record of 10-5 and they sit at 1-3 in Mountain West play. Fresno State is led by Aleisha Coates, whose average of 3.78 kills per set ranks among the top five in the league this week.

San Diego State, meanwhile, has won six of its last eight matches to improve to 10-7. The Aztecs' conference mark of 2-1 sees it tied for fourth entering this week's action.

Alexandra Psoma continues to lead the Aztecs in kills with a 3.16 average, a mark that improves to 3.83 per set on Mountain West play. Deja Harris owns the conference's top hitting percentage at .408.

In addition, Danielle Bolden's mark of 0.91 service aces per set in Mountain West action has her atop the conference stats in that category.

Setter Indigo Thompson averaged over 14 assists (44 assists in three sets) per set in the win over Air Force last Saturday (Oct. 1). She finished with the same stat in the three-set win over Long Beach State on Sept. 17. Since assuming the starting role at setter on Sept. 16, she has average 11.00 assists per set

San Diego State has a record of 29-10 all-time vs Fresno State since the teams first met during the 1980 season. The Aztecs have won each the last four contests against the Bulldogs and seven of the previous eight. Fresno State has not defeated the Aztecs in San Diego since the 1999 campaign.
