SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The San Diego baseball coaching staff has announced its 2016 Fall Hitting Camp which includes six sessions beginning on Monday, Sept. 26. The camp will run on five consecutive Monday evenings before concluding with a session on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
The camps are open to youth players broken into two sessions. Players aged 8-13 will hit from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with ages 14-18 hitting from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. The cost of the camp is $300 for the six-session package or $60 per individual session.
The focus of the camp will be on the development of each player's offensive skills. A six-week progression will be used to develop each hitter's swing mechanics and approach at the plate. Players will be analyzed individually and coached through drill work.
All camps will be administered by members of the San Diego State coaching staff with instructional assistance from local coaches and players. All sessions will be conducted at Tony Gwynn Stadium on the campus of San Diego State University.
