AZTECS CONCLUDE HOME STAND AGAINST USD AND UTAH STATE
San Diego State, winner of four straight matches and five of its last six, will host a pair of home contests this weekend to wrap up its current five-match home stand. SDSU will get the week started with a contest against seventh-ranked University of San Diego on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6:00 p.m. (PT) on Aztec Court. On Saturday, Sept.24, the Aztecs open their 2016 Mountain West season when they will face Utah State at 6:00 p.m. (PT). Live video as well as live stats for both of San Diego State's matches this weekend will be available with links at GoAztecs.com.

SERIES RECORDS
San Diego State has a record of 26-28 all-time vs University of San Diego. The Toreros have 12 of the last 13 contests against the Aztecs with SDSU's lone victory over that span coming during the 2012 season.
The Aztecs have a record of 11-4 against Utah State including wins in the last four meetings between the schools. The Aggies last victory over San Diego State occurred during the 2013 season, the year that Utah State joined the Mountain West.

MOUNTAIN WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Middle blocker Deja Harris has been named the Mountain West Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played through Sunday, September 18, 2016. It is the first conference weekly award of Harris' career. A sophomore from Las Vegas, Nev., she led San Diego State to a 3-0 week in the SDSU/USD California Mixer. Harris averaged 3.11 kills with a .545 attack percentage over nine sets this past weekend. The kill average was her best over a weekend this season.

PSOMA LEAD HITTERS
Sophomore Alexandra Psoma continues to lead the SDSU offense with an average of 3.04 kills per set, a mark that is just outside the top 10 in the Mountain West this week. This past weekend she averaged 3.44 kills and 1.89 digs per set while hitting .373 over the Aztecs' three matches. She ended a streak of finishing in double figures in kills in five straight matches when she recorded nine vs. Cal State Fullerton Saturday night (Sept. 17).

HARRIS SETS AZTEC RECORD
Deja Harris established a new SDSU record when she finished with a .909 hitting percentage in the win over Cal State Fullerton on Sept. 17. She has raised her season hitting mark to .431, a number that leads the conference this week. No other MW player has a mark over .400. She has hit .350 or higher in each of SDSU's last four matches and has committed only five attack errors (72 attacks) and has a .583 hitting percentage over that span.

PRITCHARD AT LIBERO
Sophomore Devyn Pritchard played the libero position in the Aztecs' three matches this past weekend. In those contests she averaged 4.11 digs per set. She recorded 15 digs in each of the matches vs. Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday (Sept. 17). She is now averaging 3.78 digs per set, a mark that would rank among the conference top 10, but she has appeared in only 26 sets. Players must appear in 66.7 percent of team's sets to qualify for inclusion in league stats.

THOMPSON DOUBLES UP
Setter Indigo Thompson, a sophomore transfer from Virginia Commonwealth, recorded her third double-double of the year in the win over UC Santa Barbara last Friday (Sept. 16). She ended that match with 36 assists and 11 digs. Thompson set her SDSU personal best with 44 assists in the victory over Long Beach State on Saturday, Sept. 17. Over SDSU's last five matches, all of which she has started, she is averaging 10.88 assists per set. She recorded her first two kills as an Aztec in that same match vs. LBSU.
