SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State volleyball team returns to home action tonight when it hosts UC Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. on Aztec Court.

The Gauchos come into the match with a record of 8-2 having won seven of their last eight contests. Included in that run is a win over No. 25 Colorado State, the preseason pick to capture the 2016 Mountain West title.

The Aztecs, meanwhile, are 5-5 after winning two of their three contests at the Art Carmichael Invitational in Rhode Island last weekend. Three of San Diego State's last four matches have gone five sets with the Aztecs picking up wins in two of those contests.

Middle blocker Deja Harris and setter Indigo Thompson were named to the all-tournament team at last weekend's Art Carmichael Invitational in Kingston, R.I. Harris averaged 2.85 kills per set with a .415 hitting percentage over SDSU's three matches. She also recorded 0.77 blocks and 0.77 digs per set. Thompson averaged 9.00 assists per set along with 1.60 digs per set during the tourney.

Harris notched a career-high 19 kills and 21.5 points in the win over Stony Brook last Saturday. Her .643 hitting percentage in that match was her season best. She also tied her season best with six blocks in the victory over Rhode Island on Friday. Her .404 hitting percentage after 10 matches ranks second in the Mountain West this week.

San Diego State will continue action on its current five-game home stand on Saturday (Sept. 17) when it hosts Long Beach State at 2:30 p.m. on Aztec Court and faces Cal State Fullerton that evening at 7:30 p.m.
