SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Football will conduct its annual Aztec Fan Fast on Sat., Aug. 13 at Qualcomm Stadium. The event, beginning at 4 p.m., features an equipment sale, practice, scrimmage and on-field autograph session with the team's seniors.
Admission to Fan Fest is free.
Fan Fest kicks off at 4 p.m. on the concourse behind the Aztec Ticket Office. Fans are asked to enter through Gate E. Fans can partake in interactive activities, enjoy concessions and enjoy appearances from San Diego State's Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Rowing and Women's Tennis teams.
Additionally, Aztec Shops will hold an equipment sale and all fans will receive a free Aztec Football schedule cup that can be filled with a fountain drink at concessions stands for $2. MAX 105.7 and Mighty 1090 will also be on site for the event.
The Aztecs will start practice at 5 p.m., with a brief scrimmage scheduled at the end of the session.
The practice will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2016 Aztecs before SDSU's opener on Sat., Sept. 3 at 5:30 p.m. against New Hampshire.
The team's seniors will be on the field following the scrimmage for an autograph session. Fans interested in on-field autographs should enter via Plaza 42/43.
The Aztecs enter the 2016 campaign as the Mountain West favorites to repeat as West Division champions. SDSU received all 29 first-place votes in the league media poll, which was announced last week at the conference's media days at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
SDSU is coming off an 11-3 season where it tied a school record for the most wins in a single year, finished with a 10-game winning streak (second-longest active FBS streak heading into 2016), won the MW title (20th conference title in program history) and beat Cincinnati, 42-7, in the Hawai`i Bowl.
SDSU season tickets and single-game tickets are now available. Both season tickets and single-game tickets can be purchased through GoAztecs.com, over the phone by calling (619) 283-7378, or by visiting Qualcomm Stadium's Window E between 9 a.m. PT and 5 p.m. PT. Fans who purchase a season ticket will receive a free Donnel Pumphrey bobblehead.
