KANSAS CITY, Mo. - San Diego State head coach Steve Fisher will represent SDSU and the Mountain West on the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) ad hoc committee on NCAA men's basketball tournament selection, seeding and bracketing.

Fisher, who is entering his 18th season on Montezuma Mesa, has led the Aztecs to the postseason 11 straight years and has won at least 20 games in each of those campaigns, including a minimum of 27 the last three seasons. The two-time national coach of the year has also guided San Diego State to three consecutive MW regular-season titles, the last of which was a league-best 10th conference championship.

The committee consists of head coaches representing all levels of Division I, former NCAA men's basketball committee members, NCAA and NABC staff. NABC Executive Director Jim Haney and former SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, a former chair of the NCAA Men's Basketball Committee, are co-chairs.

The purpose of the ad hoc committee is to provide the perspective of men's basketball coaches as well as a team perspective to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee regarding the selection, seeding and bracketing process.
