SAN DIEGO - The 41st annual KGB SkyShow will follow San Diego State’s 2016 season-opening game against New Hampshire on Sept. 3 at Qualcomm Stadium. Kickoff for the Aztecs and Wildcats is set for 5:30 p.m. PT.
The KGB SkyShow, the largest fireworks show in the area, annually attracts one of the largest crowds of the season, including last year when 48,785 fans showed up to watch SDSU defeat San Diego, 37-3.
Tickets to the KGB SkyShow will be available for KGB listeners, Aztec Nation subscribers and current San Diego State football season-ticket holders in an internet pre-sale (view level only) on June 13 at 9 a.m. PT for just $20. Single-game tickets for the general public, meanwhile, to the Sept. 3 clash go on sale on July 18.
Additional promotions and game times will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Aztecs are coming off an 11-3 season where they tied a school record for the most wins in a single year, finished with a 10-game winning streak (second-longest active FBS streak heading into 2016), won the MW title (20th conference title in program history) and beat Cincinnati, 42-7, in the Hawai‘i Bowl.
