Camello was 6-for-6 with a double, four runs and three RBIs. SDSU wasted no time putting away the Lobos (22-23, 7-11 MW), scoring eight runs in the top of the first inning, one in the second, four in the third and 10 in the fourth, only failing to score in the fifth inning.
The offense was plenty for junior Erica Romero (Corona, Calif.), who allowed three runs on five hits, while striking out two over three innings. The right-hander improved to 13-8 on the season. Freshman Julie McDonald (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad HS) yielded one run on one hit over two innings of relief, striking out one.
