ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - San Diego State second baseman Justin Wylie was named to the all-tourney team at the conclusion of the 2016 Mountain West Tournament Saturday evening in Albuquerque, N.M.

The sophomore from Chandler, Ariz. (Hamilton HS), hit .474 (9-for-19) over the Aztecs' four contests with two doubles, a home run, eight RBI and three runs scored.

In SDSU's opener against San Jose State, Wylie had four hits and ended the contest with a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth in the Aztecs' 7-3 win over the Spartans.

In the ensuing contest vs. Nevada, he recorded a double and scored once before going 3-for-5 with a walk against UNLV with two RBI and a run scored. In the re-match with Nevada, he had a two-out two-run double in the eighth inning that provided the Aztecs' first two runs of the contest.

Wylie was named to the all-Mountain West second team prior to the start of the tournament after hitting .341 in league play.

He finished the season tied for the highest overall batting average on the team with Alan Trejo at .305 and a team-leading 42 runs scored along with 39 RBI.

San Diego State concluded its 2016 campaign with a record of 21-37 overall (11-19 Mountain West) with wins in six of its final 10 contests.
