ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - After defeating San Jose State, 7-3, in the play-in game, San Diego State will now join the double elimination bracket at the 2016 Mountain West Tournament and face No. 3 seed Nevada this evening at 6:00 p.m. (PT) at Santa Ana Star Field in Albuquerque, N.M.

Although not holding a lead over the first eight innings vs. the Spartans in the contest earlier today, the Aztecs rallied in the ninth and won the game on Justin Wylie's walk-off grand slam.

Nevada, which is the tourney's No. 3 seed by virtue of finishing third in the final regular season standings. enters the day with a record of 33-22.

Offensively, the Wolf Pack is hitting .307 as a team led by TJ Friedl (.391, 9 triple, 27 RBI) and Cole Krzmarzick (.367, 13 doubles, 32 RBI.

Nevada has not indicated a starting pitcher for tonight's game.

During the regular season, the Aztecs and Wolf Pack met six times (three in Reno, three in San Diego), with Nevada emerging victorious in all of those contests.

San Diego State's record now stands at 20-36 and the Aztecs are hitting .271 as a team. They are led at the plate by shortstop Alan Trejo (.302, 4 doubles, 34 RBI) and second baseball Justin Wylie (.302, 11 doubles, 35 RBI).

SDSU expects to ( junior right-hander Cody Thompson (3-7, 6.15) on the mound this evening.

A win tonight's game vs. Nevada would move the Aztecs into the 7:00 p.m. game on Thursday (May 26) vs. host New Mexico at 6:00 p.m. (PT) while a loss would put them in the losers' bracket game at 10:00 a.m. (PT) Thursday morning.
