WHAT'S ON TAP THIS WEEKEND IN AZTEC BASEBALL
San Diego State will wrap up its 2016 regular season with a three-game series at San Jose State this weekend. That set gets underway on Thursday, May 19, at 6:00 p.m. (PT) at Municipal Stadium in San Jose. The Aztecs and Spartans will also play single games on Friday (May 20) and Saturday (May 21) at 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.

ON THE AIR
All three of SDSU's contests in San Jose will have live streaming audio on the Mountain Digital Network. Links for those video broadcasts can be found at www.GoAztecs.com. There will also be live stats available for all three games vs. the Spartans. Those links are also on line at www.goAztecs.com.

TOURNAMENT IMPLICATIONS
This weekend's series at San Jose State will have implications for San Diego State's seeding at next week's Mountain West Tournament. In order to move into the fifth seed, the Aztecs need to win two more games than Air Force this weekend as the Falcons are two games ahead of SDSU in the loss column. The Aztecs would own the tiebreaker against Air Force if they finish with identical records. The Falcons are hosting New Mexico for three games with the Lobos fighting for the top seed. Gaining the fifth seed is important as the number six and seven teams have an elimination play-in game into the regular bracket at the MW tourney.

SERIES RECORD
San Diego State leads the series with San Jose State, 62-29, since the teams first met during the 1938 season. This marks the fourth time that SDSU and San Jose State have been members of the same conference. The Aztecs won five of the six contests between the teams during the 2015 season. This series will be the only meetings between them during the 2016 regular season. The Aztecs are 35-12 at home and 24-17 away against the Spartans with three more SDSU wins coming at neutral sites.
