SAN DIEGO, Calif. - San Diego State and Nevada will wrap up their three-game weekend series today at 1:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The Aztecs have had no success against the Wolf Pack this season having lost each of the first five meetings between the teams. This will be SDSU's final opportunity to record a victory over the Wolf Pack during the 2016 regular season.
Nevada comes into today's game having won six of its last seven outings. The Wolf Pack's record stands at 22-20 overall and 12-8 in the Mountain West.
Nevada will hand the ball to left-hander Trenton Brooks (3-5, 5.56) to open today's game on the mound. Brooks has been in right field for the first two games this weekend.
San Diego State, meanwhile, has named junior right-hander Cody Thompson (2-6, 6.02) as its starting pitcher for this contest.
The Aztecs will be back in action at Tony Gwynn Stadium on Tuesday, May 3, when it hosts Cal State Fullerton for a contest scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m.
