SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego State and Nevada will complete the game that was suspended in Reno earlier this month at 5:00 p.m. (PT) this evening prior to playing the first contest of their regularly scheduled three-game series set to start at 6:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.

In the final contest of the three-game series between the teams on April 3, action was halted due to SDSU's travel arrangements. That game, slated to resume at 5:00 p.m., will be picked up in the top of the 10th inning with the Aztecs at bat, a man at second base, two outs and the score tied at 6-6.

The opener of the three-game weekend series between the Aztecs and Wolf Pack is still scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m., a time that may be adjusted depending on the length of the suspended contest.

Nevada enters the day with a record of 19-20 overall and 9-8 in the Mountain West. It has won three of its last four outings and has a team batting average of .287 along with a 4.75 earned run average.

The Nevada offense has been led by center fielder TJ Friedl (.403, 5 doubles, 5 triples, 19 RBI), outfielder Cole Krzmarzick (398, 7 2B, 20 RBI) and second baseman Miles Mastrobuoni (.333, 13 doubles, 23 RBI). The Wolf Pack's .975 fielding percentage leads the Mountain West.

San Diego State comes into the series with a record of 12-26 (5-10 MW).

Shortstop Alan Trejo is hitting .370 (17-for-46) over SDSU's last 11 contests with a double, triple, six RBI and six runs scored. He hit his second homer of the season in the win over New Mexico last Sunday (April 24).

Senior left fielder Spencer Thornton is hitting .364 (20-for-55) over SDSU's last 15 games with three doubles, a triple, three home runs, five RBI and 12 runs scored. He has gone 2-for-4 in each of SDSU's last four contests.

Starting pitchers for the series opener this evening are expected to be left-hander Christian Stolo (2-5, 4.36) for Nevada and SDSU right-hander Harrison Pyatt (0-4, 4.68).

The Aztecs and Wolfpack will continue the weekend series with a contest on Saturday, April 30, at 2:0 p.m. (PT) at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
