SAN DIEGO - San Diego State lacrosse senior Felice Artuso was named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) second team, the conference office announced today.

One of the team's most vital players, Artuso was the team's most prolific midfielder this season, acting as both the draw control specialist and a major contributor on offense. The senior's 23 draw controls topped the team, going alongside a team-high 23 caused turnovers and 25 ground balls to rank third. She also led SDSU by dishing out 13 assists and her 23 points ranked second among Aztecs.

Artuso, a communications major from Westminster, Md., will finish her career in the Scarlet and Black by making her mark in the San Diego State record book. She was a four-year starter, starting 63 of the Aztecs' 65 contests over the last four seasons. Artuso sits second in program history with 131 draw controls, is third all-time with 82 ground balls and 52 caused turnovers and has the program's fourth-most assists at 22.

San Diego State recorded a 4-11 mark this season, going 3-6 in conference play. The Aztecs executed their most difficult schedule to date, facing four opponents ranked among the top 12 in the nation (No. 2/2 North Carolina, No. 11/10 Stony Brook, No. 7/8 USC, No. 12/8 Stanford), and allowed the second fewest goals in program history (190).
