WHAT'S ON TAP THIS WEEK IN AZTEC BASEBALL
After Tuesday night's 6-5 win over No. 20 Long Beach State in 12 innings, SDSU will resume Mountain West play this coming weekend with a three-game series vs. UNLV. That set gets underway on Friday, April 8, with a contest scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. (PT) at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Aztecs and Rebels will also hook up for games on Saturday (April 9) and Sunday (April 10) at 2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.

ON THE AIR
Friday's contest vs. the Rebels will have live video streaming on The Mountain Digital Network. Saturday's game against UNLV may be heard on AM 1700 in San Diego. Sunday's series finale against UNLV will be broadcast on KCR Radio, the SDSU campus station. Links to all of the broadcasts/video streaming may be found at the San Diego State web site (GoAztecs.com). In addition, there will be a Live Stats feed for all three games at GoAztecs.com.

SERIES RECORD
SDSU's record against UNLV over the years stands at 79-57. The teams first met in 1978 and were members of the Western Athletic Conference together for 19 years before moving to the Mountain West for the 2000 baseball season. Last season, the Aztecs won all three games in the series between the teams in Las Vegas in late March. The Rebels then captured two of the three contests at Tony Gwynn Stadium in early May. SDSU is 37-18 vs. UNLV in San Diego, 40-34 in Las Vegas and 2-5 at neutral sites.

SUSPENDED GAMES
San Diego State currently has a pair of suspended games that it will complete at Tony Gwynn Stadium in the near future. Last Sunday's contest at Nevada was halted in the bottom of the 10th with the score tied 6-6. SDSU's travel itinerary caused the game to be stopped and it will be concluded when the Wolf Pack visits Tony Gwynn Stadium on April 29. Due to snow, only one game of SDSU's three-game series at Air Force (April 180-20) was completed, that being the first game of a doubleheader on Mar. 20. The second game of that twin bill was suspended in the top of the eighth inning and will be completed when the Falcons come to San Diego in May. Stats for both of those suspended contests are not reflected in SDSU's current statistics.

ADKISON HITS AWAY
Sophomore Tyler Adkison has hit safely in each of SDSU's last six contests, going 8-for-24 (.333) over that span with three doubles, a triple, eight RBI and three runs scored. His lone hit vs. Long Beach State on Tuesday was a leadoff triple in the 12th inning after which he scored the game-winning run in SDSU's 6-5 victory. He hit a pair of home runs in the contest at Air Force on March 20 to take the team lead with three this season. In the series vs. Northwestern the previous weekend, he went 5-for-8 (.625) three RBI and six runs scored (two in each game). He also hit his first home run of the year and recorded a double in that game.

HENSLEY ON A ROLL
David Hensley is on a 10-game hitting streak during which he is batting .349 (15-for-43) with a double, four RBI and six runs scored. He has scored five runs in the Aztecs' past four contests. He had a string of five consecutive multiple-hit game from March 25 to April 1. Hensley leads the team in sacrifice bunts with five.

CALABUIG RETURNS
Outfielder Chase Calabuig returned to the starting lineup for the contest at Nevada last Friday (April 1). After starting SDSU's first 17 games in center field, he came back and played in left field during the two games in Reno. In that Friday contest he went 3-for-4 with a home run, RBI and two runs scored. On Tuesday against No. 20 Long Beach State, he came off the bench as the DH and had three RBI including a two-run triple.

BROWN CONSISTENT
Andrew Brown had the game-winning RBI in the win over Long Beach State on Tuesday with a single in the bottom of the 12th inning that brought home Tyler Adkison in the 6-5 win. Brown, who has seen starting duty at both second and third base as well as in left field this season, has hit safely in eight of SDSU's last nine contests including the last five in a row. During that run he has a double, home run, five RBI and three runs scored. He has raised his batting average from .158 to .223 over that span of games.

STREAKS
David Hensley has the team's longest current hitting streak at 10 games. The next best current streak of six games belongs to Tyler Adkison. Hensley and teammate Spencer Thornton have reached base safely (via hit, walk or hit by pitch) in each of the last 10 games. Trejo leads the Aztecs with 11 multiple-hit contests while Adkison leads with five multiple-RBI games.
