SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego State opens a five-game road trip with a contest at Oregon State this evening at 5:35 p.m. (PT) at the Beavers' Goss Stadium in Corvallis.
OSU's record stands at 16-5 (3-3 Pac-12) after dropping three contests to California in Berkeley this past weekend. The Beavers are still ranked in every national poll including being rated 11th by Baseball America. Their highest ranking is fifth by D1Baseball.com.
Oregon State's top hitters include catcher Logan Ice (.403, 5 HR, 221 RB) and second baseman Nick Madrigal (.364, 6 2B, 17 RBI). As a team the Beavers are hitting .306 with a 3.58 earned run average.
San Diego State (6-16, 2-5 MW) ended a five-game losing skid with its 11-6 win over New Mexico on Sunday. The result helped the Aztec climb out of the cellar in the Mountain West and into sixth place.
Shortstop Alan Trejo continues to pace the SDSU offense with a .360 batting average, three doubles and 14 RBI. Second baseman Justin Wylie is hitting at a .301 clip with two home runs and 16 RBI.
