SAN DIEGO, Calif. - San Diego State and New Mexico will continue their three-game weekend baseball series with a contest this evening scheduled to get underway at 6:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
The Aztecs (4-15, 1-4 MW) will look to rebound after last night's 5-3 loss to the Lobos (14-7, 6-1 MW) that saw their current winless streak extend to four games.
SDSU will send redshirt freshman Harrison Pyatt (0-1, 3.27) to the mound where he will opposed by UNM's Tyler Stevens (3-1, 4.91).
With a single in his final at bat last night, sophomore shortstop Alan Trejo extended his team season-best hitting streak to 15 games. Trejo has hit safely in every game but one in 2016 and has reached base safely (via hit, walk or hit by pitch) in every contest this season.
Freshman Jordan Verdon also had a single last night and his current hitting streak has now reached 10 games.
San Diego State and New Mexico will wrap up their series on Saturday, March 26, with a contest at 1:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium.
