Tuesday afternoon saw the San Diego State women's tennis team notch another mark in the win column after it dismissed Cal Poly, 5-2. SDSU took an early lead by claiming the doubles point and picked up four of six singles points to take the overall win at Aztec Tennis Center.

In doubles play, Dora Somoracz and Olivia Larsson combined to take down Abigail Bacharach and Molly Reed in the third spot, 6-1. In the top spot, Jana Buth and Isabelle Hoorn downed Dane Joubert and Ilana Oleynik, 6-3, to nab the point. The match in second doubles was left unfinished.

In singles action, Tami Nguyen swept Bryn Bacharach in quick fashion in the second position, 6-0, 6-0.On court No. 4, Kennedy Davis took care of Abigail Bacharach, 6-2, 6-2. The match was clinched in the top spot where Buth handled Oleynik, 6-2, 6-1. In the sixth position, Taylor Lederman knocked off Reed, 6-3, 6-2, to give the Aztecs their fifth and final point. On court No. 3, Zoe Oedekerk defeated Paola Diaz de Regules in a 10-point tiebreaker, 1-6, 6-1, 10-7, to give the Mustangs their first point of the day. In the final match in the fifth spot, Joubert got past Hoorn to give Cal Poly its final point, 7-6 (5), 6-1.

San Diego State will return to action on March 26 when it travels to face No. 19 Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.
