SAN DIEGO - On Saturday afternoon, the San Diego State women’s tennis team will look to continue its winning ways. SDSU will square off against 44th-ranked Dartmouth University at Aztec Tennis Center. First serve is set for noon.
The Big Green are coming off a long break from action, where their last match came on Feb. 21 earning a victory over University of Massachusetts, 6-1. The win pushed Dartmouth’s record to 6-2 overall on the season. Away from home this season, the Big Green are 2-1. Dartmouth’s roster is highlighted by the 14th-ranked doubles team in the nation, Taylor Ng and Kristina Mathis. After Saturday’s match Dartmouth will travel north and take on UC Irvine.
San Diego State looks to keep things rolling after pulling off an upset win over the 48th-ranked Minnesota Gophers, 5-2, on Monday. All five of SDSU’s wins have come at Aztec Tennis Center as they will look to stay hot at home under the sunshine and earn their sixth win on Saturday. Overall, the Aztecs are 5-9 on the year.
Following Saturday’s match, San Diego State will continue their home stand versus Cal Poly on Tuesday, March 22 at Aztec Tennis Center.
