SAN DIEGO - On Monday afternoon, the San Diego State women’s tennis team will return to the courts after just over a week break. SDSU will face 48th-ranked Minnesota at Aztec Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m.

The Gophers are coming off of a two-win weekend, the most recent being a 5-2 victory over Iowa State. The decision brought Minnesota’s record to 9-4 on the season. The Gophers boast one singles player in the national rankings in No. 120 Caroline Ryba. Monday’s match against the Aztecs will be Minnesota’s final non-conference match of the season.

San Diego State will be looking to add to the win column after snapping a three-match skid on its last outing. The Aztecs edged Sacramento State, 4-3, on March 5. SDSU claimed an early lead by taking the doubles point and notched enough singles victories to seal the triumph. The victory saw San Diego State’s overall record rise to 4-9.

Following the matchup with the Gophers, SDSU will face Dartmouth on March 19. Action will get underway at noon at Aztec Tennis Center.
