The San Diego State women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Long Beach State on Saturday afternoon. The Aztecs fell for the second time in as many road matches this week. With the final result, SDSU falls to 3-8 on the season.

In doubles play, Meava Razakasoa and Julie Gerard topped Isabelle Hoorn and Taylor Lederman in the second spot, 6-2, to give the 49ers the advantage. In the third position, Ebba Unden and Georgie Sanders defeated Kennedy Davis and Paola Diaz de Regules, 6-4, to clinch the point. The match in first doubles between No. 55 Laura Eales and Hayley Thompson and Tami Nguyen and Jana Buth was left unfinished at 5-5 due to the point decided.

In singles competition, No. 57 Razakasoa gave LBSU its second point as she got past No. 121 Nguyen, 6-0, 6-2. On court No. 4, Thompson brought Long Beach State within one point of the win by downing Diaz, 6-2, 6-0. In the fifth spot, Eales secured the victory for the 49ers as she defeated Lederman, 6-0, 6-2. In the third position, Gerard gave LBSU its fifth and final point as she topped Davis, 6-4, 6-2. On court No. 2, Buth battle back after dropping the second set to claim a point for SDSU as she finished off Unden, 7-5, 1-6, 10-4. The final match on the courts saw Hoorn notch San Diego State's second point as she downed Sanders, 7-6, 6-2.

The Aztecs will return home to begin a five-match homestand beginning with Loyola Marymount on March 1. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at Aztec Tennis Center.
