Last Time Out
A day after winning the 200-meter dash, Ashley Henderson took down the 60 meters to lead the San Diego State track and field team on the final day of the UW Invitational Saturday on Jan. 30 in Seattle.

Henderson ran the fastest prelim time in 7.50 seconds, then edged Seattle Speed's Whitney Rowe at the line to capture the final in 7.42. It was the fifth-fastest time in program history. The qualifying prelims started with 57 entrants. The day before, Henderso beat out 80 other entrants in the 200 with a time of 24.19 seconds. The time tied Allison Reaser (2014) for the 10th-fastest indoor mark in program history.

In the pentathlon, Kassidy Ellis finished with the sixth-highest total in school history with a five-event total of 3,682 points, while the distance medley relay team of Rachel Roesgen (1,200), Lisa-Anne Barrow (400), Ellison Grove (800) and Elaine Ribeiro (1,600) ran the second-fastest time in program history at 12:06.14, just missing the school-record time of 12:05.71 set in 2014.

Seven other Aztecs logged all-time top-10 marks, including five on the track. Grove led the way with the second-fastest indoor 800 in school history in 2:11.04 en route to finishing 13th out of 62 entrants.

Sierra Brabham-Lawrence, meanwhile, only lost to Nike's Dawn Harper in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.43. The 8.43 is tied for the seventh-fastest time in school history.

In the 3,000, three SDSU athletes - Cassidy Towner, Lily Seynaeve and Roesgen - put their names in the record books with all-time top-10 times. Ribeiro was the first San Diego State to cross the finish line in 10:08.70, just over two seconds off a personal best (10:06.55), while Towner (10:15.21), Seynaeve (10:19.36) and Roesgen (10:31.33) ran the fourth, fifth and eighth-fastest times, respectively, in program history.

Je'Neal Ainsworth came in sixth in the triple jump in 39-07.50 (12.08m), good for the eighth-best mark in school history. Alexa Evans etched her named into the record books with the ninth-best weight throw in SDSU history (on Friday), with a toss of 50-09.50 (15.48m).
