SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State lacrosse team will host its annual Winter Defrost Clinic on Sat., Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (PT) at Aztec Lacrosse Field, head coach Kylee White announced today.
The clinic is open to all females in grades 8-12 who are preparing for high school, middle school and club team tryouts. The intensive two-and-a-half hourlong event will focus on stick work, shooting and other lacrosse fundamentals. The Aztecs kick off the program's fifth campaign with a preseason match in Westlake Village, Calif. against Northwestern on Jan. 17. San Diego State's regular season slate features five NCAA Tournament participants, including National Champion runner-up North Carolina. Competition begins on the east coast with games at Elon on Feb. 12, North Carolina on Feb. 14 and Saint Joseph's on Feb. 27. The team's first game on Aztec Lacrosse Field is on March 1 against Michigan at 7 p.m.
