SAN DIEGO - San Diego State senior football player Jeff Overbaugh (Anchorage, Alaska) was recently named a Rubio Long Snapping College Second-Team All-American.
Overbaugh, one of three Aztecs to play in all 53 games over the past four years (2012-15) and also one of three in school history to play in 53 games at SDSU, was perfect this season in snaps, going 156-for-156 (includes punt snaps, PAT snaps and field goal snaps). He also added two tackles and a fumble recovery on the year.
For his career, Overbaugh was perfect in snaps (510-for-510), while recording six tackles and a fumble recovery. He's also been a two-time MW Scholar-Athlete, three-time MW Fall All-Academic Team member and a winner of the SDSU's President's Award for High Academic Achievement, among many other academic accolades.
San Diego State matched a school record with 11 victories (11-3), culminating with a 42-7 win over Cincinnati in the Hawai‘i Bowl on Dec. 24. The Aztecs won their second Mountain West title since 2012, first outright league championship since 1986 and 20th conference crown in program history.
