SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Director of Athletics Jim Sterk announced the promotions for three long-time SDSU Athletics employees – Lesley Fong, David Noll and Tim Baron. The trio has more than 30 years of service time atop Montezuma Mesa.

Fong, who has worked in the Aztec Athletic Department for 15 years, is SDSU’s Assistant Athletic Director for Operations – Special Events and Campus Relations. In her role, Fong will administer all sport contracts, is the point of contact and facilitator for all San Diego State sports camps, and will direct all aspects pertaining to postseason championship events, including serving as the tournament manager for the first and second rounds of the 2018 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship at Viejas Arena.

Noll has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Operations – Event Management. He is entering his 10th season at San Diego State and will oversee scheduling and planning for all home contests, risk management and the day-to-day operations. Noll will also assist with campus community relations efforts.

Baron, who has been at San Diego State for eight years, is the new Assistant Athletic Director for Operations – Facilities. He will oversee facility maintenance and projects, as well as the budget for facilities and operations. Additionally, Baron will manage construction and capital projects, develop facility policies, and issue all key and swipe card access for students, employees and volunteers.
