May 20, 2015INDIANAPOLIS - The San Diego State women's tennis team has earned a Public Recognition Award from the NCAA for the third consecutive year, based on its most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate.

The Aztec women's tennis team was recognized by the NCAA for compiling a multi-year APR in the top-10 percent nationally of all squads in each sport. The most recent APR's are multi-year rates based on scores from 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.

As stated by the NCAA, the APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.

In all, SDSU has had 10 teams earn the NCAA award since its debut.

Full multi-year APR scores for all Division I sports will be released by the NCAA next Wednesday (May 27).
