- The Aztecs overcame a 15-point second-half deficit to win the game. The rally was the second-largest in school history (since 1996-97).
- SDSU's 15-point successful rally was the fourth-largest in a victory, regardless of half, in school history (since 1996-97).
- San Diego State improves to 4-2 and has won two consecutive games.
- SDSU defeats previous undefeated No. 14/13 California. The Golden Bears had won their first four games by a total of 84 points.
