SAN FRANCISCO - Three San Diego State men's soccer players picked up 2015 All-Pac-12 honors, the league office announced Tuesday. Senior forward Rene Reyes earned second team accolades, while redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Adam Allmaras and redshirt junior defender Travis Nicklaw collected honorable mentions.
The awards are the first for each player.
Reyes concluded his final season in an Aztec uniform leading the Aztecs' offensive charge with six goals and three assists for 15 points alongside 40 shots. His goal total was tied for seventh in the conference, while his shot total ranked eighth. Posting career best marks in every offensive category, the Oslo, Norway native scored four goals in the season's first three matches, accomplishing the feat for the first time since 1999, and his two-goal outing against San Diego Christian was the first of his career.
The Aztecs' starter between the pipes, Allmaras finished his second campaign with the Pac-12's third-most shutouts (six) and saves (53), and its fourth-lowest goals against average (1.30). His final shutout and goals against average marks were personal bests, and he posted a 6-7-3 record in his 16 starts.
Nicklaw commanded a San Diego State defense that posted the league's third-most clean sheets (seven) and the fourth-lowest goals against average (1.29). A member of Guam's Men's National Team, Nicklaw finished fourth on the Aztecs with two goals and six points despite missing five matches due to his international commitments.
San Diego State finished 2015 on a high, topping No. 16 UCLA in double overtime during its season finale, thanks to a 102nd-minute tally by reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week honoree Brady Blackwell. The win gave the Aztecs' their first win over UCLA since Oct. 6, 2007, when SDSU beat the Bruins by the same 1-0 margin, and San Diego State's best record since 2011 at 8-8-3.
