Team Notes

: - The loss to No. 16 Utah snaps San Diego State's two-game road winning streak at AP Top 25 teams (No. 16 Kansas in 2014, No. 25 Wyoming in 2015).

- Despite the loss, SDSU has won six of its last 12 games (6-6) vs. teams ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll at game time. Prior to the 6-6 stretch, San Diego State was 21-90 vs. AP-ranked teams.

- San Diego State is 6-6 (50.0 percent) against AP Top 25 teams since the beginning of the 2013-14 season.

- Utah has won 37 consecutive home games against unranked opponents. SDSU's five-point margin of defeat is the closest any unranked-team has come to defeating the Utes in the Huntsman Center in the last 35 contests (dates back to a 60-55 Utah win over Arizona State on Feb. 13, 2013).

- San Diego State scored the first 27 bench points of the game and ended up with a 27-7 advantage in the category.

- Since Jan. 1, 2003, Utah is 25-0 when making at least 10 three-point field goals. Only seven of those games (including tonight) were decided by fewer than 10 points.

- San Diego State held Utah to 40 percent field goal shooting. San Diego State became the first unranked opponent to hold Utah to 40 percent or less from the field in the Huntsman Center since Jan. 27, 2013 (Stanford).

- It was a rare loss for the Aztecs when holding an opponent to 40 percent or less from the floor. Since the beginning of the 2010-11 campaign, the Aztecs are now 92-11 in those games.
