Aztecs Set to Face MW Foe Boise State This Evening

BOISE, Idaho -- San Diego State begins a string of three consecutive road matches this evening when it faces Boise State at 7:00 p.m. (MT) in Bronco Gym.

The Broncos enter the contest in second place in the mountain West with an overall record of 18-7 and 10-3 in league play. BSU is riding a four-match win streak and it has won 10 of its last 11 outings. Included in that run is a five-set victory over SDSU in mid-October on Aztec Court.

San Diego State, meanwhile recorded back-to-back home wins for the first time this season last week with three-set victories over Fresno State and UNLV. SDSU's record stands at 9-18 overall and 6-8 in Mountain West action.

Alexis Cage recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs against UNLV on Nov. 7. In the previous contest vs. Fresno State she led the Aztecs with 11 kills and recorded a career-high .611 hitting percentage in the match. For the week she averaged 3.50 kills, 2.67 digs and 0.83 blocks per set with a .395 hitting percentage.

Alexa Saba made her first start at the libero position since late September in the win over UNLV on Nov. 7. In that match she registered 19 digs, an assist and a service ace.

Defensive specialist Danielle Bolden averaged 2.50 kills and 2.50 digs per set in SDSU's wins over Fresno State and UNLV last week. She tied her season high with 11 digs vs. Fresno State (Nov. 5) and also had a pair of service aces.

Baylee Little led the Aztec with 11 kills in the three-set win over UNLV on Nov. 7. She hit .500 in that contest, the 10th time this season she has been above the .300 mark in attack percentage in a match. She averaged 1.00 block per set in the Aztecs two matches last week.

Redshirt freshman Deja Harris has averaged 1.89 blocks over SDSU's past three matches. She has recorded at least one block in 25 of the Aztecs' 26 matches this season. She ranks eighth in the Mountain West in league matches with a .322 hitting percentage. Harris is the only freshman to rank among the league's top 10 in that category.

Following tonight's contest, the Aztecs will move over to Logan, Utah, where it will take on Utah State on Saturday (Nov. 14) at 7:00 p.m. (MT) in the
