Pumphrey is the third Aztec to earn a MW weekly award this season, joining linebacker Calvin Munson (defensive player of the week on Sept. 7) and kick returner Rashaad Penny (special teams player of the week on Sept. 28). SDSU is the only team to win all three MW weekly awards this season, while the three overall winners is tied with Air Force for the most in the league.

It was his second straight 100-yard rushing game, third of the season and 16th of his career, which is second all-time at SDSU and tied for second in MW history. It was his eighth career game with multiple rushing scores and fourth with at least three rushing touchdowns.

Pumphrey's first two rushing touchdowns of 34 and 8 yards put San Diego State up, 14-0, just 5:50 into the game. His final touchdown of the game came on a 4-yard run at the beginning of the fourth quarter and extended the Aztecs' lead to 28-14. Pumphrey also had a career-long 36-yard reception, which came on a 3rd and 6 and led to his final touchdown.

SDSU (3-3, 2-0 MW), the lone team with an undefeated record in the West Division of the Mountain West, travels to San Jose State (3-3, 2-1 MW) for a key match-up at 7:30 p.m. PT Saturday.
