TULSA, Okla. - San Diego State junior Hendrik Jebens has advanced to the second round of the 2015 Saint Francis Health Center ITA All-American Championships singles consolation flight with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Arkansas' Marco Micolani in the flight's first round.

The Stuttgart, Germany native has a 4-1 record in the tournament and is the only Mountain West student-athlete remaining at the championships. He faces Edoardo Tessaro today in second round consolation action.

Jebens powered through the qualifying flight with a 6-5, 7-6 victory over Stanford's Sameer Kumar, a come-from-behind win against Diego Pedraza from Dartmouth, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 and a 6-3, 6-3 win over Florida State's Michael Rinaldi to advance to the tournament's main draw. In the opening match, he fell to Georgia's Wayne Montgomery 6-4, 6-2, moving him to the consolation draw.

The winner of the consolation singles championship advances to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
