SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's soccer head coach Lev Kirshner announced the hire of two assistant coaches, both of whom possess a diverse set of experiences at the youth, collegiate, professional and international levels. Jeffrey "Ziggy" Korytoski and Tony Vigil join Kirshner's staff for his 16th season at the helm of the Aztecs' program in 2015. Korytoski will be in charge of recruiting, while Vigil will handle all scouting.

"I can't be any happier with their work," Kirshner said. "I'm not sure there are too many staffs out there with the type of background we possess. We are very fortunate to have Ziggy and Tony join our family."

Most recently, Korytoski was the academy director and director of coaching for CS United's U9-U14 teams in Plymouth, Mass. In that post, he also served as a scout for US Soccer and the Seattle Sounders.

From 2013-14, Korytoski served as the head coach of Deportivo Coatepeque in Coatepeque, Guatemala. Serving at the team's helm in Guatemala's top league, he is the only American head coach in the team's history, leading his team to a promotion to the country's top league, Liga Nacional, for the first time in its history.

Before joining Deportivo Coatepeque, he was the head coach of Antigua GFC in Antigua, Guatemala, a position he held on and off for two-and-a-half years, assisting in the program's promotion to Guatemala's Primera Division. Korytoski's other international coaching experience includes a one-year turn as the head coach and technical director of the Northern Mariana Islands' men's and women's national teams.

Between periods with Deportivo Coatepeque, for the 2012 season, Korytoski guided the University of Hawai'i at Hilo's men's soccer program to a 5-1-1 in the team's final seven matches of the season.

For two seasons from 2008 to 2010, Korytoski was an assistant coach for Cal Poly's men's soccer team, in charge of recruiting, team operations and game day management. Prior to working with the Mustangs, he served on Wright State's men's soccer staff for three seasons from 2005-08, was an assistant at St. Leo in 2004 and served on Penn State's men's soccer coaching staff in 2001, coaching the school's women's club team to a national championship.

A Springfield, Mass., native, Korytoski played collegiately at Santa Rosa Junior College and UNC Wilmington. He earned his bachelor's degree from Saint Leo in 2007. Korytoski possesses UEFA and USSF `A' Licenses, a NSCAA Premier Diploma and a KNVB Coaching Certificate.

Since 2014, Vigil has been the director of business development and a head coach with San Diego's Albion SC, securing the club's first multi-year corporate partnership and assists with the USSDA 13/14 team.

Vigil served two seasons as an assistant coach with UC Riverside's men's soccer program, specializing in recruiting, video analysis, player development and team operations. During his tenure from 2012-14, players in each season were drafted by MLS teams, the team earned a NSCAA top 25 national ranking for the first time in program history, and recorded single-season records for wins, goals and assists.

Vigil began his coaching career at his alma mater, Cal State San Bernadino. For four seasons from 2008-12, he served as an assistant for the school's men's and women's soccer programs, earning a promotion to associate head coach for the 2011 campaign. His time on Cal State San Bernadino's staff saw the program's first NSCAA No. 3 national ranking. As the recruiting coordinator, he recruited the school's first two All-Americans, and also helped with player development, supervision of assistant coaches, monitoring academic progress of the student-athletes and external relations.

Vigil was a four-year starter at Cal State San Bernadino and a three-time team captain. He possesses a USSF `A' License and graduated from Cal State San Bernadino in 2007 with a degree in kinesiology. He earned his master's degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga in 2013.

Next up for the Aztecs, San Diego State travels north to Stockton, Calif., on Sunday for its final non-conference match-up before the start of Pac-12 play when the Aztecs take on the Pacific Tigers at 1 p.m. The contest will be streamed live and free of charge on TheW.tv and live stats are available through PacificTigers.com.
