HONOLULU - San Diego State wrapped up play at the Outrigger Resorts Volleyball Challenge on Saturday as it dropped a 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-10) setback at the hands of No. 2 Florida at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

With the loss, the Aztecs saw their season record fall to 2-7 while the Gators improved to 6-1.

As was the case on Thursday against Hawai'i, SDSU was unable to get into an offensive rhythm as it tallied only 23 kills and a -.040 team hitting percentage over the three sets.

Alexis Cage and Alexandra Psoma registered five kills apiece to lead the Aztecs with Cage adding four digs and a block and Psoma recording a pair of blocks.

Setter Hailey Jones ended the match with a team-high 14 assists and five digs while libero Alexa Saba notched 12 digs and a season-high three assists.

The Aztecs will now return to San Diego to prepare for a string of three matches in three days in three different cities next weekend. That run begins with a contest at Cal Poly on Friday, Sept, 18, at 7:00 p.m. and will be followed by matches at UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount on Saturday and Sunday.
