SAN DIEGO -

San Diego State junior Katrina Reeves was named to the All-European Team at the 2015 ELF Women's Lacrosse European Championship for her performance with Spain at the summer tournament.

Reeves played every minute for Spain at the championship. She led all goaltenders at the 17-team event with 85 saves, turning away 10-or-more shots in five contests and recording the best save percentage of all goalies who played in seven-or-more contests (53 percent).

England was crowned the tournament's champion following the 10-day event. The tournament, held in Nymburk, Czech Republic, was touted by the European Lacrosse Federation as the largest international women's lacrosse competition ever held on European soil. Spain finished the tournament in 17th place, appearing in its first international competition.

Reeves has been a member of the Spanish National Lacrosse Team since September 2014. The Granite Bay, Calif., is one of three Aztecs to represent on the international stage, joining former Aztec Isabelle Pickett (Australia) and San Diego State head coach Kylee White (Canada). She is one of two national team members to play for an NCAA institution, joining Louisa Del Rio, a redshirt junior at Boston University.

During her sophomore season in 2015, Reeves was an MPSF All-Academic performer for the Aztecs, starting all 17 contests and helping San Diego State to its second-straight appearance in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) tournament. Her 6.65 saves per game ranked fourth in the conference, and a .382 save percentage placed her fifth. Defensively, she finished the year tied for third in the MPSF with a team-best 40 ground balls.

San Diego State completed the 2015 campaign with a 9-8 overall record, marking the program's highest victory total since its inception in 2012. In addition, the Aztecs logged a team-record seven-game winning streak from Feb. 28-March 22, and started 4-0 in league play for the first time in the squad's four-year history.
